It seems to be that no matter where you look there are lots of fun and interesting books to read for people of all ages and interests. Books have something for everyone from scifi fiction to educational for schools. One of these many books is Tristan Gets a Haircut. This book teaches children how to expand their vocabulary and learn new words. We all know that one of the most important things that a child can learn is the ability to read and write and to understand what the words mean or where to use them in a sentence. Parents know that you can’t just read your child any type of learning book. It has to be fun and interesting for the child to want to learn more. Even for adults certain children’s books can bring back happy memories from when they were a young child. I can still remember when I would listen to my parents read me a story and would want them to read it again and little did I know that the book they were reading me was actually an educational book.

Beastly is a teen fiction novel written by Alex Flinn. Kyle Kingsbury knew his life was perfect. He had the wished for looks with blonde hair and blue eyes and a face that won him the prettiest girl in school Sloane Hagen. And the money that his father made working as a news forecaster made him a very rich young man and where the money never stopped coming he could practically have whatever he even thought about. Sloane asked that Kyle give her a white Orchid and so he sent his maid on the task of making sure this would happen on time.

But in the end of the task the maid didn’t get the Orchid because she could not find one and decided to get a white rose instead of nothing at all. But by doing this horrible deed the witch put a terrible curse upon him and this curse had him look as the horrible soul that he is on the inside. She made him so that anyone that comes upon him can see the ugliness that he really is inside. But instead of making this curse permanent she gave him a chance to find someone that truly loves him in just a few years. The reason she even gave him a chance was because of the nice deed he did giving the white rose to the so called unpopular kid.

When he tells his father about the event his father brings in some of the best doctors in the nation regular doctors or witch doctors to try and fix Kyles problem. When his father finally decided to give up he sends his son to a house in downtown New York. Where no one will see him and he can escape from the embarrassment of looking like a hideous monster. But he is not alone fore his dad gives him a maid and a blind teacher to help him with studys. But now he is on a quest for someone that truly loves him on the inside as well as the outside. Spirits That Walk In Shadow is a teen fiction novel written by Nina Kiriki Hoffman. Jaime has never been outside her big and perplexing family and wants to get away from the magical traditions so bad she can taste it. When she leaves her house she decides to hide amongst the normal people of the city. Her friend Kim is going with her to find herself a normal life too because her magical life is keeping her so deeply depressed she cannot even work on her true found passion of her art or even stop crying.

They realize the first step to get the normal life they always wanted was to go to college. But when they arrive at the university Jaime notices that the depression that Kim is feeling is not just a sadness but more like an illness that has taken over her body. Now it’s clear that it is not just Kim’s feelings that are doing this to her but something outside of her body as well. Now a new reality comes into play as Jaime’s cousins and a person named Rugee aids them in there hunt for the Viri and a Viri is a emotionally charged vampire that is feeding off of Kim and keeping her sad. Artemis Fowl: The Eternity Code is the third book in the teen fiction series written by Eoin Colfer. Artemis fowl’s father has found a new way of life and has decided to turn over a new leaf. Because after seeing his precious time fade away in jail he realizes that the life of being a criminal is what brought him in the prison in the first place so he decided that for his and his beloved family sake that he would back out of it all together.

But meanwhile Artemis has a different plan in mind and has one last thing to do before he leaves the life of criminals mastermind. He has taken alot of weapons from the last time his house was attacked by the little fairy’s and turned all of the weapons he gathered and made them into a technically advanced weapon that is able to stop modern human technology temporarily and this massive weapon is called the C Cube. But first he must fund the project and get money from the broker. So he decides to set up a meeting with a broker at a restaurant. When he arrives he notices the people were acting very strange around him.

Artemis and Butler waited at the restaurant for the broker he sent out for help from named Jon Spiro, a power Chicago businessman. After Artemis discuss all of the power the C Cube can hold the broker sprung a trap and everyone in the restaurant had a gun and they were all pointed at Artemis and Butler even the creepy old lady Arty made fun of had a gun. After Jon Spiro took the C Cube out of the building he ordered his gunman to shoot to kill them both. But Butler his trusty bodyguard pushes Arty in the desert tray and taking bullets for arty.

After they think Arty is done for they leave the scene of the crime. When arty wakes up on the desert tray he realizes how he always hated deserts and now more than ever given the situation. But remembering what they were there for Artemis finds Butler in critical condition and realizes that if he were to save him he would need a special kind of medicinal treatment, Fairy medicine.

In a desperate attempt to save his best friend and to receive help recovering the C Cube he goes to the nearest pay phone to call Holly Shorts a member of the LEPrecon fairy police force and asks her for the help he so desperately needs. Will Artemis be able to save his loyal bodyguard and friend or will he be able to recover the C Cube before it can be miss used for evil deeds by Jon Spiro. Inkspell is the second in the teen fictional series and is written by Cornelia Funke. Already a year has past and it seems like yesterday since the people of the Inkheart book have opened Maggie up to a new world and her unknown talent of reading the characters right off the page and into the real world but her father says she cannot ever use her power because it is to dangerous and can be fatal.

Meanwhile Dustfinger a professional fire-eater who was brought to this world by her fathers reading ability is wanting to go back. He craves the feeling of his own written world. He starts his searching and searching for one that has the gift of reading people out and into books. He eventually discovers a strange storyteller named Orpheus that for a fair price will give him his wish. Dustfinger for their own good leaves his apprentice farid and his beloved ferret Gwin behind.

leaving the other two behind Dustfinger is read back into his world. Farid who was training to be a fire-eater by his teacher Dustfinger has come to think of him as a father figure and goes off on a quest of his own to find Maggie and have them both be read into the world of Inkheart. He knows they have to save Dustfinger from his own demise but unknowingly Farid brings the one thing that he will die for which happens to be one of the very things he holds dearest to his heart his Ferret.

Maggie and Farid amazingly and unexpectedly meet the author of Inkheart named Fenoglio which is the book they are now inside of. Fenglio has a story but his story has turned for the worst and has made a new threat like none of them have ever seen before. Will their desperate attempt to restore peace to the world and rewrite the wrongs that have been written work and will they find Dustfinger and make it out of there alive. Rangers Apprentice: Book 4 The Battle For Skandia is a teen fiction novel written by John Flanagan. Will and Evanlyn have finally escaped from slavery but are still not in the clear for Will is one of the Rangers and Evanlyn is a princess. He makes up a plan to a place named Araluen but it soon fails when the princess gets kidnapped and is held captive by a Temujai Warrior. Will trys to use all his training is the Rangers but the Warmweed has made him weaker so he will have to give it everything he can to find her.

But when a band of scouts has Will outnumbered he is certain he is not going to make it out of this battle alive. But when a series of fortunate events occurs he is reunited with some of his old friends, Halt his master and Horace his best friend from the orphanage. After they win the fight with the scouts they learn of something horrible. Skandia’s borders have been destroyed by the Temujai army and their home of Araluen is next to fall.

It will take two kingdoms to remain alive and to defeat the Temujai army and they must reluctantly make a union of one.
